Disability and Accessibility Policy 

1. Purpose 

dapphaus is committed to promoting accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This policy outlines our dedication to providing accessible environments, products, and services to all employees, customers, and visitors. 

2. Scope 

This policy applies to all aspects of dapphaus' operations, including but not limited to recruitment, employment, provision of services, and interactions with customers and the public. It applies to employees, contractors, customers, and visitors of dapphaus, including those with disabilities, as well as those interacting with individuals with disabilities on behalf of the company. 

3. Compliance with Applicable Laws 

dapphaus is committed to complying with all relevant Canadian laws and regulations regarding disability rights and accessibility, including but not limited to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), the Canadian Human Rights Act, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. 

4. Accommodation Requests 

Employees, customers, and visitors with disabilities are encouraged to request reasonable accommodations to enable them to fully participate in the company's programs, services, and activities. Requests for accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be provided whenever feasible, in accordance with applicable laws. 

5. Accessibility in Software Development 

In our software development processes, we prioritize accessibility considerations to ensure that our products and services are usable by individuals with disabilities. This includes but is not limited to: 

  • Incorporating accessibility standards and best practices into the design, development, and testing phases of our software products. 

  • Conducting regular accessibility audits and testing to identify and address barriers to access. 

  • Providing alternative formats and assistive technologies where necessary to ensure accessibility for users with various disabilities. 

  • Training our development teams on accessibility principles and techniques. 

 

6. Training and Awareness 

dapphaus is committed to raising awareness and promoting understanding of disability rights and accessibility among employees. We provide training and resources to employees to help them understand their responsibilities under this policy and to foster an inclusive work environment. 

7. Feedback and Continuous Improvement 

We welcome feedback from employees, customers, and other stakeholders on how we can improve accessibility in our workplace and in our products and services. Feedback can be provided through various channels, including email or in-person meetings. 

8. Review and Revision 

This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Amendments may be made as necessary to reflect changes in legal requirements or company practices.
